During this CrescentOne Onboarding track you will be introduced to some of the core technologies and tools used at CrescentOne. The G2 ERP is one of the oldest ERP platforms world-wide. Several of the early parts still are there. Managing those parts as part of a growing platform is not a walk in the park.

Technology in general evolves very fast, that does not mean that existing technology is inferior. But while evolving towards new technologies, companies and their engineers do too. The change that new engineers entering the organisation do have experience in these former technologies is low.

The courses in this track aim to preserve the needed knowledge and skills, while not loosing focus on those new developments.

JavaScript, often abbreviated as JS, is a programming language that is one of the core technologies of the World Wide Web, alongside HTML and CSS.

The creation of Node.js in 2009 by Ryan Dahl sparked a significant increase in the usage of JavaScript outside of web browsers. Node combines the V8 engine, an event loop, and I/O APIs, thereby providing a stand-alone JavaScript runtime system. As of 2018, Node had been used by millions of developers, and npm had the most modules of any package manager in the world.
