Local Structure

Local Structures

A local structure is a customized multilevel bill of material, routing, cost and item planning record defined outside of the product catalog and service catalog. A local structure is typically defined in response to a make to order customer requirement. A local structure is created in the Estimating application, then referenced throughout the G2 ERP.

Linking a local structure to a material demand order line, such as a sales order line or contract material view line, enables that local structure to be planned as a make to order demand by Project Resource Planning. The resulting hierarchy of supply orders are pegged to each other and the end item is pegged to the original customer demand. This pegged hierarchy of supply orders is processed to replenish the original make to order customer requirement.
